Everything is made one piece at a time in my shop. I work mainly with domestic hardwoods like maple, walnut, oak, and cherry, and I’m always open to specific requests. We’ll talk through size, proportions, edges, and finish so the piece fits your space and how you actually use it.
My background in mechanical engineering influences how things are built—strong joinery, thoughtful structure, and allowance for natural wood movement. I stand behind my work, communicate clearly, and will always make things right.
THe build process
We begin with a detailed conversation to understand your vision for the piece. This includes discussing intended use, dimensions, wood species, finish, and any specific design details or inspirations you may have. Based on this information, I’ll create a custom 3D model so we can review the proportions, layout, and overall aesthetic together. This stage allows us to refine the design, make adjustments, and ensure everything is aligned before any material is ordered or work begins
Design & Planning
Once the design is finalized, you’ll receive a detailed quote outlining materials, labor, and any additional options. I’ll also provide an estimated build timeline so you know what to expect. A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot in the build schedule and to cover material costs. The remaining balance is due once the piece is completed and ready for delivery or pickup.
Quote & Timeline
With the deposit received, I’ll begin the build process. Each piece is crafted by hand, with careful attention to joinery, grain selection, and overall fit and finish. Throughout the build, I’ll share photo updates so you can follow the progress and see your piece come to life. This ensures transparency and gives you confidence at every stage of the process.
build phase
Once the piece is complete, I’ll provide final photos for your review and approval. After the remaining balance is paid, we’ll coordinate pickup or delivery based on your location and preferences. The result is a fully custom, handcrafted piece built to last and designed specifically for your space.
